         Spice is a plant substance which is used for coloring or flavoring our food items .A spice may be available in many forms : fresh, whole- dried or pre-ground form . Fresh spices are expensive and have more shorter shelf life whether whole dried spices are cheap,  have longest shelf life , so it can be stored and bought in larger amounts.
                           India is the land of spices with all the different variants and sizes of either fresh or dried form of spices and herbs easily available in market. Beside it's aromatic properties , every spice is beneficial in other health aspects too. 
                         Here in this topic , we will discuss about these benefits of spices to our health like which spice is useful in which aspect.-

1. TURMERIC - Everyone must have seen a bright yellow powder in their kitchen , which is actually a root vegetable . It is the spice of every house , which is used in almost every food item . We use it as a coloring agent along with this it enhances the taste of food. It helps in proper digestion . It keeps our heart healthy with it's anti bacterial and anti oxidant properties .

 2. CUMIN - It is a popular spice , basically originates from Asia . It's smoky flavor makes it one of the best spices to be used in pulses and curries . It's roasted ground form creates magical aroma which also enhance the flavor of beverages like lemonade , raw mango drink  and buttermilk .

3.GREEN CARDAMOM- It is the third most expensive spice which is famous for its aromatic use in Indian cuisine  along with its medicinal properties .It's sweet flavor and light texture makes it perfect choice for sprinkling it over desserts , beverages and sweets. It really helps in digestion as it has antiemetic properties. It is useful in treating heartburn and mouth ulcers.

4.CLOVE- From ancient times clove is being used as ayurvedic medicine. It's heating property makes you warm during winters. It is helpful in treating toothache and bruises. It is used to spice up the taste of curries and non veg gravies.

5. FENNEL SEEDS- It is the most common spice used in Indian kitchen . Fennel is flavorful and aromatic spice with various medicinal uses like helps improving digestion , promotes lactation , purifies blood, reduce bad breath . It is the main content of mouth freshener which is taken after meal.

6.CINNAMON-  It is popular throughout the world . It is vastly used in variety of rice ,sweets and winter drinks . It has so many medicinal benefits . It's intake can reduce your blood sugar level as well as cholesterol . In short it is the key ingredient to keep your heart healthy and happy .

7. FENUGREEK - It contains ample amount of fiber and minerals including iron and manganese . This results it is useful in treating anemia .It helps in reducing extra fat . Soaked fenugreek paste can bring shine and volume to hair. It has functional elements and contents which slow down the sugar absorption rate into our blood. It increases sperm count . It is also good for breastfeeding mothers.

8.NUTMEG - It is one of the spice that is used in making garam masala . It has powerful anti oxidants which helps preventing cellular damage . It has anti inflammatory properties which reduces inflammation that leads to chronic health conditions . It is known to prevent liver and kidney diseases. It is also used to treat digestive issues in children.

WE DO NOT NEED TO RUSH IN ANY EMERGENCY AS WE HAVE REALLY GOOD TO GO CONTENTS IN OUR PANTRY TO HANDLE THE SITUATION IN FORM OF FIRST AID .
